The split-type series is ideal in the case of little available space, e.g. where duct assembly is not desirable. Through the separate arrangement of the evaporator unit (arranged inside the room to be cooled) and the compressor-condenser unit (arranged outside and in contact with the hot dirty ambient air) you obtain a very good inside air quality as the air flows are permanently separated from each other.
These two functional modules must be connected on site to form a refrigeration cycle. Generally the necessary refrigerant carring tubes are under high pressure and must be laid by a refrigeration technician on site.
